WhatsApp reassures users that, similar to personal messages, media, and calls, both the original messages and the edits are protected by end-to-end encryption. WhatsApp notes that when a message is edited, it will be marked with the label "edited." This will allow both the sender and the receiver to be aware about the corrections being made to the original message.
